Accidents happen

Even six months later Charles could not believe that this was his life now. He had been driving home from dinner with friends when he saw a car swerving on the free way. he managed to not get hit but the swerving car had crashed in the embackment in front of him. He pulled over behind the wreck and grabbed the fire extinguisher from his trunk and began to spray down the flames that were starting to come up from the engine. Realizing that his extinguisher was not going to get it done, he went to the drivers side and pulled the man behind the wheel out. After depositing the driver back by his car he went for the woman in the passengers side. As he carried her out he heard an explosion and felt something sharp in his back. Suddenly he was washed in intense pain, and then nothing at all. He was in and out of consciousness, catching glimpses of an ambulance and shouting then finally an operating room and the sound of his heart monitor flat lining. Charles felt surprisingly calm as he floated above his body, then he heard a woman's voice, " Hey, hey you. thanks for pulling me out of the car." Charles looked over and floating to his left was the woman he had rescued, "oh man I am sorry you died." The woman smiled, "Oh there's nothing you could have done to stop that, I OD'd before we crashed. They are still trying to revive me but I think I've had enough." suddenly a white light opened and the woman disappeared. Charles floated down to the table the woman's body was being worked on out of curiosity.The doctors were working to revive it, when suddenly a blip appeared on the heart monitor, then another. Suddenly Charles felt like he was being pulled in to the woman's body! for the first time since he died he felt panic and once again was emerged in darkness. When he came to he found that he was a she now. Thinking quickly Charles faked amnesia, soon he found out that his new name was Gina Martins. Gina had been a heavy cocaine user for most of her adult life so Charles found himself going from the hospital to rehab. Some how he made it through all of it and managed to reconnect with Gina's estranged rich parents who were happy to see that the accident had lead to their daughter becoming a whole new person.
