What if?: The Amazing Spider-Woman

Peter Parker was so excited to finally be on his tour of Oscorp. He had won the science fair at his school and he and the winners from the other schools in his district were enjoying a visit to one of the world largest research companies, second only to Stark Industries. They were approaching the Nuclear research Lab when the door burst open and a woman in a lab coat came running out followed by several people in radiation suits. The woman was acting very erratic and the people in the radiation suits were clearly trying to corral her. "It burns!" she screamed, as one of the yellow clad people finally got a hold of her arm. "Damn it Sarah, we are trying to help you!" came a response from one of the others. Sarah tossed the radiation suited people around like rag dolls and ran directly at the students. Most jumped out of the way but Peter was frozen in place. Suddenly Sarah ran directly in to Peter, knocking the skinny boy over and getting tangled up with him on the floor. They flailed for a bit and the people in the radiation suits took advantage and finally hit Sarah with the tranquilizer syringe.The woman went limp and she was lifted off of Peter who was dazed by what had just happened.

The Chaperon was the first to notice that Peter was bleeding from his left shoulder, "Peter are you ok?" Peter looked at his shoulder in fear, "I think she bit me!" The lab staff was done securing Sarah and turned their attention to Peter, "Young man how are you feeling?" Suddenly Peter doubled over in pain, "Oh god it burns!!" Peter rolled up his sleeves and his veins were bulging as his muscles spasmed. The last thing Peter remembered before he blacked out was the chaperon saying, "I better call his guardians."

Peter woke up and felt incredibly groggy. Besides feeling cold, his body did not feel right. He found his glasses and flannel on the night table next to him and put them on. his hair was impossibly long and he found that he couldn't button his shirt anymore. His head was swimming and his vision was blurry, as if his prescription was far to strong. He pulled off his glasses and looked down and what he saw and felt finally matched up. Peter now had huge breasts!! He cautiously poked them with his finger and was shocked to feel the touch. Slowly he let his hands slipped down to his crotch. What he found was even more shocking, a soft vertical slit that could only mean one thing."Holy shit! What is happening!?" the door to the room opened with his Aunt and Uncle entering the room along with Norman Osborne himself. Peter's aunt spoke first, "I know this is a terrible shock dear but we are just happy that you are alive! Mr. Osborn has promised to help us and make sure that they will do everything they can to help you return to normal." Osborn stepped forward, "Yes son and if we can't then we will make sure that you lead as normal a life as possible." Peter's Uncle Ben looked at Osborn with distaste, "Our lawyer Mr. Murdoch is going to make sure you keep your word Osborn." Norman bristled slightly, "Of course Mr. Parker, of course. Peter we would like to talk to you about a side affect of your transformation. You see the woman who bit you was first bitten by a spider that had become irradiated during an experiment. For a brief time she displayed certain abilities that have since faded. because of your unique situation your blood work shows that not only have you developed in to a... lovely young woman, but you should also be gifted with the proportionate abilities of an arachnid." Peter was having a hard time processing all of the information coming his way he slouched back on the bed and his shirt fell open exposing his large pert breasts. Peter's aunt move forward to comfort and cover up her new niece, "Now lets put all of that talk for another day, Peter needs to rest and needs to come to grips with what has happened before you start testing him, her, for anything!" Uncle Ben opened the door to the room to  usher Osborn out of the room, "Come on Osborn, May is right." Norman Osborn was not used to taking orders in his own building but he knew he had to be patient if he wanted to earn the trust of this family and take advantage of what this girl meant for his company. "Absolutely Ben. Let me get you a cup of coffee."

After a few months of training and tests Peter was starting to get used to her new body and what it could do, even if she wasn't entirely comfortable. Osborn was true to his word, under the watchful eye of Murdoch and Nelson attorneys at law. It was a conversation that Peter had with Matt Murdoch and her Uncle Ben that inspired her to make the biggest decision of her life. Peter had been moping and she was worried that she was going to spend the rest of her life as a lab rat. The blind lawyer shook his head, "Listen Peter, when I was a kid I lost my sight but I had other gifts and I decided that I wasn't going to just let life happen to me. I help people now. Any way that I can. With your abilities you can make a difference like so few others." Peter looked at her uncle who had guided her all her life, "What do you think Uncle Ben?" Ben took Peter's now feminine hand in his, "Pete, your father and I were taught by your grandfather that we all have a responsibility to our fellow man, and that the greater the power we had, the greater the responsibility." After a discussion with Norman Osborn, who was privately eager to see what his beautiful lab rat could do in the field, a costume was developed. Peter herself came up with a formula for a incredibly strong yet fluid synthetic "webbing" and wrist mounted shooters to give her a non lethal weapon and could be used to swing around the city. Soon New Yorkers were marveling at the amazing heroics of the Spider-Woman. Peter was thrilled to be proactive and felt good to be doing something useful. She was also very grateful to make an alliance with another "Super Hero" quickly. Peter teamed up every night with Dare Devil. He could be a bit overprotective at times but Peter was glad for his help and his experience and was glad she wore a full mask to hide her blush when the Devil would compliment her skills. Peter would be turning eighteen at the end of the year, and she hoped that she could advance her relationship with her mentor to a whole new level.
